Soma Muthumanickam, the former Lead Software Architect for Automated Driving and ADAS at ZF Group, has been appointed to the role of Director & Chief Architect of Automotive at Basemark.
Soma has over 10 years of experience developing Automated Driving functions at European Tier-1 suppliers, such as ZF, Bosch and Autoliv (acquired by Qualcomm). In his most recent role as lead software architect at ZF Group, he was the global software architecture lead for all level 2 & 3 AD functions and led a large cross-functional team to design a state-of-the-art ADAS platform.
In his new role as Director & Chief Architect of Automotive at Basemark, Soma will lead the development of Rocksolid Core – OS, middleware, and tools for software-defined vehicles. He will be based in the Basemark Munich office, close to key customers and partners of Basemark.
