Chief Tech is a leading provider of Stereoscopic Head-Up Displays (S HUDs) for the automotive and rail transportation industries. Leveraging their strong expertise in optical engineering, AI vision algorithms, and electronic systems, they are introducing a new generation of AR HUD technology to the market.
Delivering a truly immersive AR experience on automotive windshields requires a HUD that can display sharp content without causing discomfort or nausea for the driver. Chief Tech’s S HUD technology addresses this by enabling multi-depth display capabilities, ensuring AR content appears naturally integrated with the real-world environment. This enhances visual clarity, reduces eye strain, and supports safer, more intuitive driving experiences.

The partnership enables the integration of Basemark’s Rocksolid AR software with Chief Tech’s stereoscopic AR HUD technology, delivering a turnkey solution that helps automotive manufacturers shorten development cycles and accelerate the time to market for advanced AR HUD experiences.
As part of the collaboration, Chief Tech will become an official reseller of Basemark’s AR software solutions, enabling automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to access advanced automotive AR technologies. Additionally, Chief Tech will join the Rocksolid Ecosystem, a network focused on advancing automotive AR and delivering cutting-edge in-vehicle experiences.
Basemark and Chief Tech will showcase their joint AR HUD solution in a demo suite at the InterContinental Shanghai Hongqiao National Exhibition Center during the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, April 23–26.
