Technical Sales Engineer

Do you have an engineering or computer science degree, but ready to jump head first into sales? Or wait, feet first? Hmm, head first into water or sand could be ok, but I’m finding it difficult to envision how to quantify or materialize what ‘sales’ would be, metaphysically…..oh, gold coins, like Richie Rich or Donald Duck? Yes!

Do you have an engineering or computer science degree, but ready to jump head first into a sh*t load of gold coins? Ok. I don’t think that is translating well…..

No niin! We are now offering an opportunity for a technical person based in Finland to: learn the business side of some next level 3D graphics products and beautiful software set to revolutionize the autonomous drive industry! You may have started your career in tech, but clearly you are the extrovert in the room <right now>. (oh, it appears that you are alone, working at home. But that statement still stands!!)

BASEMARK

A Finland-based software company, is positioned at the junction of graphics and compute with high-end capabilities optimized for automotive and consumer devices. We are world-class experts in real-time 3D graphics, compute programming and design. We have the customers, we have a profitable business, we have the technology, and we are scaling up our tech by productizing it and adding further compute and graphics capabilities as we change autonomous driving forever (and for the better). And now with a recent infusion of cash we are hiring more world-class experts to help us build our products to scale.

So here’s the situation:

Beyond our genius engineers and designers, we have these epic sales people, locally in Finland, in Korea, in Japan, in Taiwan, in Germany, and in the US. What we need, is someone <technical> to join meetings between us and our customers (Asia, Europe, Americas. I guess I should say worldwide. But none yet in Africa, Antarctica, ..what else is there? Australia? Ohio?)

We would need you to be the LINK, the bridge if you will, between our customers and our engineering teams. Pay attention to the questions, answer them if you can, or then get them answered by our engineers (and remember the answers for the future). Set up demos of our products, master them at some point, work on your relationship building skills with basically everyone, help our sales guys with their goals, and maybe test the waters yourself to see, do you want to work in technical sales one day too, closing deals and high fiving people with champagne at the ready? Oh. I guess we aren’t shaking hands anymore, so its doubtful you would get to high five anyone, ever, again (sorry).

Requirements on the technical side:

  • C++ would be GREAT
  • Demo implementation, or UI implementation skills with modern tools to create UIs, like with Qt, WPF, Kanzi, would be GREAT
  • Blender, Unity, Unreal, making demos with them in the past, would be GREAT
  • Mobile development would be SOLID

On the non technical side:

  • You are a natural conversationalist in at least one human language, preferably English
  • You are confident and fearless (with people anyway)
  • If you are hilarious that would be GREAT
  • You are a talker, a researcher, and a listener

So, let’s do this! Operators are standing by. Please send your English CV and cover letter to us at salesjobs@basemark.com
