Soldiers of Fortune? Nope! We are 8 engineers, a mixture of PhDs and former Professors and scientists and engineers, and overall just totally rad nerds, responsible for developing implementations of machine learning and CV algorithms needed for automotive AR applications so they can run on embedded hardware. We have an AR applications team too (but that’s a whole nother glory story).
We are now recruiting a Senior ML Engineer with strong embedded C++ with parallel programming and numerical algorithms, an expert in optimizing things to run on very small devices and SoCs.
We are working on a variety of embedded HW from NVIDIA to Qualcomm SoCs. We have a kind culture, an open atmosphere of respect and psychological safety, an approachable and friendly spirited crew. We support continual learning, education, people can use their own time or collaborate with academic institutions, visiting conferences on our dime etc. We are people who enjoy optimizing things, code, playing around with different pieces of hardware.
Ok, now let’s get down to business:
You are tasked with designing algorithm solutions for different types of computer vision problems in AR, focusing on optimizing those algorithms on embedded HW, which have machine learning and CV components. This naturally requires strong C++ and parallel programming and numerical algorithms. When we have a prototype implementation of some AR app, you will figure out how to implement that on an embedded device, while simultaneously participating in algorithm development. We have domain experts who know AR very well, and you will collaborate with them as well.
We are doing visual stuff with AR, so you will actually get to see the results of your work, in cars. This is not just numbers, you get to see the fruits of your labor in use. If you like to tinker around with low level details, getting the most performance out of next generation HW, this is the job for you!
