Sr ADAS / Autonomous Developer (from Robotics)

Do you have experience in machine vision, neural networks, inferencing, autonomous drive or ADAS application development? How about experience in control systems, robotics, developing actual applications as well as how to integrate the whole thing to implement it by yourself? If you are interested in working on the ‘Brains of the brain’ of a brand new software platform we are building for cars, this is it:

BASEMARK

At Basemark HQ in Helsinki / Punavuori (with new office opening in Munich this Summer) (www.basemark.com), we make Brains for cars. Whether it’s merging Compute with Graphics in a real-time environment, real world autonomous intelligent systems, machine learning, computer vision, algorithms, or building upon AutoSAR Classic & Adaptive and Linux stacks for a safety critical full solution……we are about to shake the Earth by creating the world’s first end to end automotive software platform. (well, if you include Tesla, we would be second. But theirs is not shareable! Ours is)

Our People:

Kick ass and take names. We are world-class experts in real-time embedded GPU and compute programming and design. Sure we’re still working from home in our underwear, but boy do we work well together online! Seriously, we have found a way to enjoy the ride, while literally creating magic.

We are now looking for a talented team of automotive and embedded software engineers with experience in high performance compute development, Vulkan, camera APIs, BSP, Yocto, Linux, AutoSAR Classic and AutoSAR Adaptive tech. This team will be starting with a cross section of that bigger project, focusing on a few use cases for autonomous driving in a ground-breaking new E/E architecture concept. And once our flashy physical car arrives, the fun for this Super Team really begins. We think of this recruitment effort as an almost secondary…..Avengers Initiative? Whoa. Join us!

The Job:

You will get to influence how we design the systems in this new autonomous drive project. Our team already consists of machine learning and Vulkan expertise with a profound understanding of the performance of various automotive SoCs. Joining us you will get to make key decisions on what could be the redefining moment of our corporate existence. And like a kid on Christmas with her new remote control Lamborghini, you’ll implement an application that controls a human size car and handles all its computations. How cool is that!

Our task is build the high reasoning of the car, sensing the environment through a novel way of processing camera feeds, sensor fusion algorithms, and trajectory planning for the car. You will be collaborating with those who have backgrounds in automotive embedded software and hardware, machine learning and deep learning.

Requirements:

  • Linux or Adaptive AutoSAR
  • ROS, Robotics Operating System (you do not need experience in programming logic controllers)
  • Experience implementing high performance algorithms on embedded hardware environments
  • Automation engineering experience with real world autonomous intelligent systems
  • a natural foundation of C++
  • Prototyping experience
  • You can also write actual working applications with traditional SW engineering practices too
  • Motion control, building sorting robots is a bonus

Please send your CV in English to jobs@basemark.com with the subject entitled ADAS / Robotics. We look forward to meeting you!
