We need someone with technical maturity to join our DevOps Team who can help us bring Behavior Driven Development practices as well as various testing strategies into reality. We are looking to hire what we call a ‘Comb-shaped employee’ (figuratively speaking). Essentially this is a generalist, with several specialties – notably Test Architecture.

We are BASEMARK, an automotive AR & Autonomous driving software product company. Based in Helsinki (Punavuori), with offices in Munich and Detroit Rock City. And we are hiring! Our mission is to help car manufacturers increase their productivity tenfold by introducing them to the best modern software development tools. We develop a high performance and energy efficient graphics and compute engine using Vulkan. This engine powers our AR Studio and final applications which will run in millions of cars.

The team currently consists of 3 members. We are looking for creative, relentless problem-solvers who can provide high-quality, easily maintainable, and well-documented solutions to uniquely challenging problems!
The Job:
In addition to standard computers, our products also run on embedded devices, and our CI/CD setup deals with the resulting variations in hardware (12+ different kinds), OS (Yocto Linux and Android), drivers, etc. which makes our job very interesting.

We maintain and develop further the Test Rack As A Service, a solution for remote developer access and CI integration for our embedded devices collection. On the more traditional side, we are automating our release processes to make them fast, reliable, and repeatable. We are also ramping up automated testing to ensure that our releases are high quality.
We also deal with code hosting, CI/CD, and static analysis tools that fulfil the certification requirements (TISAX, ISO 26262, etc.) of our clients.
Requirements:
- Automated QA experience, BDD
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps or others)
- Expertise in automation and documentation
- Software development experience (Windows 10 / GNU/Linux / Android / Mac OS X / iOS)
- C++ and build systems (CMake, MSBuild, Gradle or others)
- Experience with embedded devices (Yocto Project or others)
- Git competence
- Autonomous problem-solving / troubleshooting / research ability
- A passion for quality
- A desire to provide excellent service to our developers and customers
- Generalist’s mindset
Bonus Skills:
- Helpdesk (internal or external) experience is good to have, but we can also teach you
- Expertise in Server/Workstation Administration
- Expertise in Information Security
