Basemark Web 3.0

Web Browser performance Testing Tool

Cross-Platform Benchmarking Tool

Basemark® Web 3.0 is a comprehensive web browser performance benchmark that tests how well your mobile or desktop system can use modern web based applications.

This benchmark includes various system and graphic tests that use the newest web standards and features. After running the benchmark you will see how your system performed compared to other systems and browsers in Basemark Power Board.

Versatile

Basemark Web 3.0 is a hardware- and platform-independent, supporting virtually all modern browsers, operating systems, and mobile or desktop systems.

Web 3.0 Features

Basemark Web 3.0 measures real-world client-side performance to detect browser bottlenecks using following techniques:

  • Low-level JavaScript calculations (ECMAScript), designed to test the core of JavaScript
  • Graphically intense content, e.g. WebGL 2.0, that uses mainly GPU of the device
  • Tests built with popular JavaScript frameworks (e.g. jQuery, Angular, and Backbone), and Document Object Model (DOM), as well as popular CSS features
  • Basemark Web 3.0 will also contain a Conformance Suite, which doesn’t contribute to overall score, but tests the browser’s conformance.
“Basemark has a long history in creating industry-leading benchmarks for mobile devices, virtual reality systems and browsers. Basemark Web 3.0 is a major milestone in developing trustworthy benchmarks for modern browsers, including WebGL”
− Neil Trevett, President of the Khronos Group.
